Latest Update - 10 April 2026

The Final poster [I doubt it--still awaiting some acts to confirm??] But mostly correct. 3 days of music--12 venues/stages--nearly 80 performers --- over 100 performances. It will be tremendous!! Even better than last Year?

Herne Bay Folk is delighted to have on board our local radio station Cabin FM as one of the main sponsors of Herne Bay Folk Festival. We look forward to working with them to spread the word about Folk and promote Live music in Herne Bay area. Reg Millsom will keep you all updated on his Cabin Folk show - 94.6 FM every Sunday at 7pm.

Put the dates firmly in your diary. See you there!

First Post - 10 March 2026

OK. Here is the full line-up for the 3-day Herne Bay Folk Festival 2026.

Our headline acts include rare solo performances from 2 local Legends who have been at the top of Folk music with their band over the last 4 decades: Alan Prosser - founding member and driving force in the Oyster Band and Doug Hudson- front man for Hot Rats and stand-up performer.
We are also fortunate to bring together on the same stage 2 folk "super-acts"- Sam Brothers and Callum Sutton. Both of them emerged from street busking in Canterbury and Herne Bay to become now, well-established and popular acts on both the local, National and International Folk/Blue Scenes
We also offer the highly entertaining High Chapparals and Luna Barge who will bring both fun and wackiness to the stage.

There will again be differing Festival experiences with the "Edge of Town Venue" providing camping, open stage and concert venue at Hampton Bay park and as previous the main "Around Town" Festival on the Saturday with over 7 venues throughout Mortimer Street and central Herne Bay. As usual there will be concerts, plugged in stage, acoustic hub, music sessions, singalongs, floor spots, ceillidh, shanties, street acts, Morris dancers, and so much more.

Remember - it is all FREE!!
